TAL Aviation Bulgaria hosted a joint event with Sky Express and Sofia Airport to present the airline's development strategy

TAL Aviation Bulgaria, together with our airline partner SKY express and  Vasil Levski Airport - Sofia, presented the airline's development at a special event at the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia, which was attended by 50 tour operators and travel agencies.

Catering with delicious snacks and aromatic drinks was organized for the guests of the event, and at the end of the evening a raffle with prizes was organized.

A special emphasis during the presentation was placed on the sustainable development of SKY express, which from a regional company quickly turned into an international carrier with a modern fleet and high standards of service.

The airline operates the youngest fleet in Greece, including a total of 29 aircraft - two Airbus A321neo, twelve Airbus A320neo, one Airbus A320ceo, ten ATR 72-600 and four ATR 42-500.

The average age of the Airbus neo family aircraft is 3.9 years, while the ATR 72-600 is 2.8 years.

SKY express is a member of GR Group – a leading group in tourism and aviation in Greece, and has one of the newest fleets in Europe.

The company dynamically expanding its international network, which already includes 27 European destinations, with plans for additional frequencies and new routes. Among the latest new connections are flights from Athens to Berlin, Hamburg, Lisbon, Madrid, Tel Aviv and Lyon, as well as from Thessaloniki to Düsseldorf.

SKY express received its next major recognition at the European Regional Airlines Association (ERA) Awards 2025, being awarded the “Airline of the Year” prize, as well as the “Regional Airline for Connectivity” award.

The awards confirm the carrier’s rapid development, its efforts in the field of sustainable development and the significant expansion of its network in Europe and Greece.

TAL Aviation also presented the airline’s commercial strategy, as well as the opportunities for connections via Athens to the domestic and international network of SKY express.

Georgi Kabaivanov – Regional Manager for Bulgaria, highlighted a key advantage for partners and passengers, which are the new aircraft, modern equipment and high level of security.

During the presentation, the sustainable development of the airline was also noted, which from 3.3 million passengers served in 2022 has already reached over 5.4 million passengers.

After the presentation, the guests had the opportunity to hold B2B meetings with representatives of the airline.

The event in Sofia confirmed the aspiration for the development of SKY express on the Bulgarian market, the good air connectivity between Bulgaria and Greece.
