IATA BSP Consolidator System (IBCS)

IBCS

TAL Aviation is a worldwide GSA organization with presence in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Pacific.  TAL Aviation was established in 1987 and as of Spring 2011 has been appointed by IATA as an IBCS Consolidator throughout our global network.

Objectives of the IBCS product

The IBCS programme provides an opportunity for scheduled airlines to participate in previously “marginal" BSP markets, with negligible capital investment.

The system is especially geared for established airlines that seek to develop incremental revenues from marginal markets, and for start-up  carriers that wish to widen their distribution reach at low cost.

This system complements the regular BSP participation model. It allows both large and small carriers with lower volumes in a particular BSP market to gain  the benefits of a BSP, but without the  sometimes comparatively high upfront  joining fee.

The joining procedure / paperwork is facilitated by the local office of  TAL Aviation in each BSP country and/or territory.

Benefits of joining IBCS through TAL Aviation

  • “Variable cost” concept to facilitate access to the BSP services
  • Lower initial joining costs for widening market penetration
  • Attractive cost-package by using TAL Aviation GSA facilities combined with IBCS distribution systems
  • Nominal annual participation fee
  • No central & regional management costs
  • Transaction based costs which are volume-related
  • The ultimate right of each IBCS airline to decide on its own distribution policy
  • Greater world-wide representation through TAL Aviation’s global network
  • A professional group comprising of experienced back-office and sales teams across TAL Aviation’s network of global offices

After the joining process is completed in a new country, all the IATA authorized travel agents in that country may easily issue E-TKTS on your airline’s documents, through the local GDS’s
