Aegean Airlines

Aegean Airlines is a member of Star Alliance, Greece’s largest airline providing at its inception in 1999 until today, full service, premium quality short and medium haul services.

On 23rd October 2013 Agean Airlines acquired Olympic Air; as a result passengers now have increased flight frequencies and connections as well as improved accessibility to Greece’s islands, including some of the more remote. Aegean invests in strengthening  its international presence and supporting the Greek tourism both in Athens and regional airports.

As an outcome of its efforts, in 2018 it transferred 14 million passengers, 6% more passengers than in 2017.

AEGEAN has been honored with the Skytrax World Airline award, as the best European regional airline in 2018. This was the 9th time we received the relevant award. Among other distinctions, AEGEAN captured 5th place, for the second consecutive year, in the world's 20 best airlines list (outside the U.S.) in 2018 Readers' Choice Awards survey of Conde Nast Traveler.

In line with this, its 2019 timetable included a network of 151 destinations, 31 domestic and 120 international in 44 countries. The flights, performed with one of the youngest fleets in Europe, comprising 61 aircraft.
