New A319 arrives for Bangkok Airways

Bangkok Airways saw the delivery of the first brand new Airbus 319 at Suvarnabhumi Airport, straight from the factory in Hamburg, Germany.  The A319 is the first of six to arrive from the order placement expected to stream in next year and in 2009.   With one-class seat configuration, the aircraft has 144-seat capacity and is able to reach the maximum range of seven hours. Initial route designations for this aircraft are Bangkok-Phuket and Bangkok- Siem Reap.

Presently, the fleet of Bangkok Airways consists of 16 aircarft: eight ATR 72 (70 seats), four Boeing 717-200 (120 seats), three Airbus 320 (162 seats), and an Airbus 319 (144 seats).
