
American Airlines has been named Best International Airline for 2007 by readers of Travel Weekly in its annual Readers Choice Awards competition
American was chosen from a list of 5 finalists that also included British Airways, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Atlantic. About 5,000 Travel weekly readers, which include travel agents and marketing executives, voted to select the finalists.
American Airlines also Wins for Best Fortified or Sweet Wine
Judges at an international wine-tasting competition have raised their glasses to American Airlines, twice selecting the airline's wine offerings as tops in their class.
American's wines were winners of 2 prestigious Cellars in the Sky 2007 Awards: Best Business Class Wine Cellar for overall selection and Best Business Class Fortified or Sweet Wine with its La Plaza Vieja, Medium Golden, Emilio Lustau. Judges evaluated more than 200 different wines in a blind taste test conducted over 2 days.
