Binter

Binter is based in Gran Canaria, Spain. It is a regional carrier operating inter-island services within the Canary Islands, in addition to services to Morocco, and Portugal.  It has the largest, youngest and most environment-friendly fleet in the Canary Islands and constantly maintains the process of renovation to offer the best service to its customers and to apply green, less polluting, technology.

2002 was an historical moment for Binter, being the year in which the company (until then owned by Iberia) was acquired by a group of Canary Islands investors. The expansion started so that today the Canary Islands residents can directly reach such important points as Marrakesh, El Aaiún, Agadir, Casablanca and Madeira directly without stopovers.

The airline has one of the largest fleets of ATR aeroplanes in Europe, unique in the Canary Islands, with up to 18 aircraft.

Binter received Europe's best regional airline 2005 and, on September 24, 2010, it was announced that Binter had won the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) Gold Award: Airline of the Year for 2010/2011. Most of the flights traded as Binter are Naysa or Canarias Airlines flights, which have franchise agreements with Binter but stay completely independent companies.
