A significant day for Qantas in South Australia

TAL Aviation Group is proud to join in celebrating two significant milestones for our esteemed partner Qantas: the launch of a new direct international route between Adelaide and Auckland, and the opening of the very first Qantas Business Lounge at Adelaide Airport.
This is a big moment for airline's customers with the return of Qantas international flying out of Adelaide for the first time in years.
Those of passengers who have been with Qantas for some time will know that the business has been looking for an opportunity to add Adelaide back to Qantas' international map since 2013, and the local community has also been eager for the airline to return.
While Qantas temporarily re-routed its Melbourne-Delhi flights via Adelaide for a fuel stop after the pandemic, the city has not been regularly serviced by the Flying Kangaroo since Qantas' Singapore services ceased in 2013.
The new route will launch in late October and operate seasonally through to May, with four return 737 flights a week offering 30,000 seats on the route each year.
Thus, South Australians will also enjoy more choice when flying to New Zealand, with seamless connections to North America on our popular QF3 service from Auckland to New York.
Today also marks the official opening of the new Qantas Business Lounge in Adelaide, designed with the local region as inspiration.
It is a fact how important a premium pre-flight experience is to the millions of customers who visit Qantas' lounges each year, and this new space has been designed based on their feedback, with the features they value most.
This year has already seen significant growth across the Qantas international network, with the launch of Melbourne to Honolulu last month and the announcement of new flights including Sydney to Sapporo and Perth to Auckland and Johannesburg in December.
The airline is continuing to expand its international network, welcoming aircraft back to the fleet and new fleet arriving as part of our historical fleet renewal.
Our congratulations to our esteemed partner Qantas, that we represent as GSA in more than 15 countries worldiwide and remains committed to long-term and profitable relationships to strengthen the presence of our partner in its key markets.
