Aerolineas Argentinas will carry over 80,000 passengers

Aerolineas Argentinas will carry over 80,000 passengers during the weekend that kicks off the winter holidays.

Both on Friday and on Saturday, around 40,000 passengers are expected to fly each day. Between both days, 700 flights will depart to or from any of the 56 destinations operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas within and without the country.

According to the forecasts made, during the winter holidays, the company expects to carry up to 20% more passengers with respect to the same period of the previous year, with an expected minimum 15% increase.

The average occupancy forecast for the whole network during the next 15 days will hit peaks of 88% and will stand at around 80% by the end of the winter break.

The 10 most chosen domestic routes during the weekend as regards occupancy rate of the flights are: Buenos Aires – Mendoza (99%), Buenos Aires – Bariloche (96%), Buenos Aires – San Rafael (98%), Buenos Aires – Trelew (97%), Iguazú – Rosario (97%), Buenos Aires – Tucumán (96%), Buenos Aires – San Martín de los Andes (96%), Mar del Plata – Córdoba (95%), Bahía Blanca – Ushuaia (94%) and Buenos Aires – Esquel (94%).

As for international departures, the routes that stand out due to their occupancy rates are: Buenos Aires – Rome (100%), Buenos Aires – Cancún (100%), Córdoba – Salvador, Bahia (99%), Buenos Aires – Puerto Seguro (99%), Buenos Aires – Rio de Janeiro (98%), Buenos Aires – Madrid (97%), Buenos Aires – Santiago, Chile (97%), Buenos Aires – São Paulo (96%), Buenos Aires – Punta Cana (96%) and Buenos Aires – Lima (96%).

Average occupancy forecast for the whole network during the next 15 days will reach peaks of 88% and will average 80% by the end of the break.

It is worth mentioning again that, during July and August, the company is offering 1.8 million seats for its main winter destinations, which represents a 10% boost with respect to last year’s offer. The offer for such season is made up of 900,000 seats available for winter destinations and 900,000 seats available for the central and northern regions of the country.

Lastly, it is worth highlighting that during June, Aerolíneas Argentinas carried 1,005,248 passengers, which marks a 17% increase in domestic flights and a 16% increase in its international flights.
